2021 ANNUAL AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT ENROLLMENT PERIOD

NOVEMBER 1-30, 2021

The NYS Agricultural District Program is a voluntary program that provides farmland owners and farmers certain advantages and protections as long as the land stays in the District. For additional information on the NYS Agricultural District Program click here. The Ontario County Board of Supervisors has established November 1 - 30 as the annual agricultural district review period with the exception of 2020 as noted above. .

At the close of the enrollment period, the requests will be reviewed by the Ontario County Agricultural Enhancement Board. They will then make recommendations regarding suitability of the land for inclusion in an Agricultural District to the Ontario County Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors then determines which properties are submitted to the Commissioner of New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for inclusion in an Agricultural District.

How to apply
Landowners must submit a signed application during the enrollment period to Ms. Kristin Mueller, Clerk of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors,that is post marked by November 30. The enrollment form will be available on this site for downloading on November 1, 2021
