The overall purpose of this event is to enable participants to integrate care and communication strategies into everyday practice in order to address patient needs. Keynote speaker, Yvonne Conte, will present "The Positive Power of Humor" and sessions from other speakers will address topics of advance directives, adjusting practice to address needs, mental health concerns in the elderly population, suicide prevention and a survivor's perspective of substance abuse. There will also be a panel discussion regarding current gaps in resources and how we can address those. Although this event is geared toward those in health care and education credits are available, the public is welcome to register.

This is a 9-week stress reduction program for people with ongoing illness or other sources of chronic stress. Presenters Jennifer Klein, MA, and Rev. Dr. Richard McCaughey focus on wholeness of mind, body and spirit through the reshaping of thoughts, emotions, and stress responses. Choose Tuesday or Thursday afternoon series.

This new group has formed out of the need for honesty ans support amongst mothers struggling with a mood and/or anxiety disorder that occurs during pregnancy, or after the birth of a new baby, This includes mothers struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Facilitated by Maureen Kellogg of Thompson's Social Work Department, Thompson Health Lactation Consultant/RN Courtney Phillips and a volunteer from the community. The group provides opportunities to talk with others who have been through or are currently walking through this same season of life. Call 585-396-6295 for information.
