We Choose Health Ontario
A Healthy Restaurant Dining Initiative
Anyone who has ever tried to lower their fat intake or shed a few pounds understands the challenges eating at a restaurant can bring. One meal out can derail our best-laid plans when it comes to healthy eating. It is not only that restaurant fare is often higher in salt and fat; we simply tend to eat too much when we dine out.
Is it possible to eat healthy when eating out? The Ontario County Health Collaborative hopes We Choose Health Ontario will give restaurant-goers the opportunity to find out. Participating restaurants have agreed to provide healthy options to their customers and to assist with raising community awareness about the impact of diet on chronic diseases, particularly obesity and high blood pressure.
Thank You to Our Participating Restaurants!
The Ontario County Health Collaborative thanks the owners, managers, chefs, and staff at the following restaurants for making the health of Ontario County residents their business. Look for initiative signage and ask your server about available healthy options the next time you go out for a bite!
